Ash Wednesday (February 17th) is a Day of Fast and Abstinence, as is Good
Friday. This means that every effort should be made to
limit our eating only to one full meal those days, and cut
out all snacking the rest of the day. No meat is to be eaten. Mass, with the distribution of ashes, will take place at the following times: 8:00am St. Christopher Church 7:00pm St. Theresa Church |

The Fridays of Lent are Days of Abstinence. As a
sign of penance and purification, we refrain from eating
meat on Fridays in Lent. These regulations pertain to all Catholics between the ages of 14 and 59 inclusive, without medical conditions that make these disciplines of Lent dangerous to their health. While younger, and older, Catholics are not held bound by these regulations, all Catholics are called upon to make some kind of regular sacrifice throughout the season of Lent. |
