As a Roman Catholic Faith Community, we at Saint Theresa and Saint Christopher Parishes are deeply rooted in the celebration of the Sacraments. It is from these that we are nourished and are able to offer nourishment to others.

The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated communally either during the Sunday Mass (11 at Saint Theresa, 9:30 at Saint Christopher) or in the early afternoon. Baptisms will not be celebrated during the Season of Lent. Preparation for Baptism is done on an individual family basis for the parents and godparents. Please call either rectory for more information. Click for details on the requirements for godparents and to download a sponsor form.

Baptism sponsors (godparents) must complete a sponsor form and have it signed and sealed by a priest from their parish. You can download a copy of the form here.

Please see the bulletin or parish calendar for additional information.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated each year with those in the parish who have been baptized, reached at least 8th Grade and have completed the Diocesan required two year preparation program. This preparation program includes class attendance, sacramental preparation meetings, an annual retreat, as well as regular participation in Sunday Eucharist and Reconciliation. Please call us at Saint Theresa Rectory 401.624.8746 for more information or to enroll in the program during summer enrollment time. Please click here for information about Confirmation sponsors.

The Sacrament of Eucharist is celebrated with those who are baptized, reached at least 2nd Grade and have completed a Diocesan required two year preparation program. This preparation program includes attendance of classes, participation in all scheduled sacramental preparation meetings, parental attendance at meetings scheduled, and an annual “Fun Day”, as well as regular participation in Sunday Eucharist.  Registration will take place during each summer before Fall classes begin. Please watch for registration information in June. Please call us at Saint Theresa Rectory at 401.624.8746 for more information.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is first celebrated with those who are part of the Eucharist Preparation Program described elsewhere, and have begun at least the 2nd Grade. Regular participation in the sacrament is encouraged for all in our faith community, as we are as strong as the weakest among us. This sacrament of healing is offered regularly on Saturday afternoons from 3-3:45pm at Saint Theresa Church or by appointment.

The Sacrament of Matrimony is celebrated throughout the year on any day other than Sunday. All weddings must be arranged with the parish before any other plans are made, and must be done at least six months prior to the intended date. Active Catholics from outside our parishes are welcome to seek arrangements to marry in our parishes, but arrangements for your paperwork should be discussed at time of reserving our Church. Please call the rectory to make an appointment with Father Shemek or Nancy Smith, Coordinator of Weddings at 401l.624.8746.
