Baptism

Welcome to the Catholic Faith Communities of Saint Theresa and Saint Christopher Parishes baptismal journey! We look forward to celebrating this joyous occasion of your child’s Baptism.

If you are not registered parishioners, we invite you to become members of our parish family. As a community of faith, we offer many opportunities for you and your family to enjoy the richness of our parishes through engaging Masses, faith-based programs, and social activities. The Sacrament of Baptism is typically celebrated during the Sunday Mass (11am Mass at Saint Theresa or the 9:30am Mass at Saint Christopher). To schedule a Baptism, you will first need to familiarize yourself with the necessary paperwork and church requirements. All paperwork must be submitted before a Baptism can be scheduled. Only the parents or legal guardian of the child to be Baptized can request their child to be Baptised.

Before completing the Baptismal Request Form, please read through all the information regarding the selection of Godparents. There are specific qualifications pertaining to Godparents according to Cannon Law and you should be familiar with these before selecting your desired Godparents. In addition, each Godparent must provide a sponsor form. If they are a registered parishioner of either St. Theresa or St. Christopher Parish, they will need to see Father Dufour for a sponsor form after Mass. If they are not a registered parishioner, they must obtain a sponsor form from their own church. The form must be signed by their parish priest and have the church seal to be valid.

For more information, please call the parish office at (401)624-8746 or email our Baptismal Coordinator Rose Marie Paul at: rosemarie@sstandctiverton.org
